Ten, Thirty, Seven

Because we are dog people. Because we live in a place that will look like this in just a month or so.We are getting a puppy. We need the body heat. So it’s a big puppy. A big big puppy. We’ve never NOT had a big puppy. Here’s our baby at two weeks old:and here’s the baby daddy:Newfoundlands. These dogs are a northern New York home heating requirement. Especially with the cost of heating these days.

Baby will come home after we are done gallivanting through Tropical Storm Noel.

The cat has a whole lot of training to do.

Monday, October 01, 2007 Banned Books Week is in full swing. This is excerpted from the American Library Association:
“And Tango Makes Three” tops ALA’s list of most challenged booksJustin Richardson and Peter Parnell’s award-winning “And Tango Makes Three,” is about two male penguins parenting an egg.
Yep, that’s what it’s about. Two male penguins. Parenting. An. Egg. For those who find this so gravely offensive that they would as soon see it banned from everyone else’s bookshelf — This smirk of contempt is for you
